As an AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role within a fast-paced FX trading house, operating at the intersection of cloud engineering, DevOps excellence, and electronic trading infrastructure. Working in a business specialising in risk management and hedging solutions across foreign exchange and commodity markets, you will architect, automate and optimise a high-availability AWS cloud environment that underpins OTC derivatives trading, brokerage execution, and real-time risk management platforms. This directly enables pricing, execution, and market responsiveness.
The project focuses on modernising and scaling the firm’s FX infrastructure on AWS, enhancing pricing engine performance, liquidity venue connectivity, automated trade capture, and real-time exposure management.
In the role of AWS DevOps Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage DevOps-focused Docker containerisation strategies that enable consistent, portable deployment of applications across multiple environments. You will create and integrate hybrid cloud solutions, enabling seamless communication among on‑premises infrastructure, the AWS cloud platform, and containerised environments.
From an AWS DevOps perspective, you will enhance SQL Server redundancy and resilience by exploring new strategies and leveraging licensing options to improve database performance and availability. This role offers the opportunity to stay up to date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices, while influencing the adoption of modern approaches across the business. You will also perform root cause analysis for critical incidents within Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, implementing preventative measures to strengthen platform stability and reduce future risk.
