We are looking for a creative team to play a key role in delivering disruptive, award‑winning culture‑driven creative ideas. As an Art Director working with copywriters, you will conceptualise and develop integrated solutions across various creative outputs. You will be part of a different agency environment, where radical thinking disrupts culture and we create innovative work that meets communities in their world. Bold, impactful, fresh thinking that identifies an authentic, exciting space a brand can play in culture is expected.
In the short term you will tackle every brief with smart, creative thinking, taking risks while retaining a strategic and cultural point of view. You will develop, extend and maintain a brand’s visual equities across channels, build rapport within the team and understand the nuances of the brands on our roster. You will be a proactive thinker, constantly looking for ways brands can shake things up with a simple idea. After six months you will be conversant with client expectations, take initiative and lead on smaller projects, contribute usefully to ideation, remain agile, pivot when necessary, and continue to collaborate with the team to deliver award‑winning work.
Responsibilities
- Ideation, development and implementation of culturally‑relevant creative concepts across all media channels and identify new playgrounds to explore.
- Develop creative concepts and 360° campaigns in collaboration with the Creative Leads to ensure high quality, on‑brief and impactful work with storytelling at its core.
- Stay current on cultural and societal trends, digital tech, visual design techniques and software tools.
- Help build presentation structure and visual references.
- Ensure content is innovative, on‑brand and consistent with VIRTUE’s values.
- Be self‑motivated, taking on pitches and projects and owning your work from start to finish.
- Collaborate with Strategy, Project Management, Client Services and Production throughout the entirety of each project.
- Manage and work independently or under tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects.
You Have These
- Smart, bold, creative thinking and a “culture‑nerd” mentality.
- Desire to create successful, culturally relevant, award‑winning creative.
- At least 3‑4 years’ experience as a Creative/Art Director in an advertising agency or start‑up.
- Ability to think visually, communicate and present.
- Proficiency in major design and page layout software programs.
- Strong design, typography and verbal communication skills.
- Passion, positivity and drive.
- Appreciate a borderless and diverse collaboration.
- A forward‑thinking and socially‑conscious perspective.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Experience balancing several projects at once with tight deadlines.
- Deep knowledge and interest in tech, digital media, social media and content.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Slides and Keynote.
- Strong portfolio showing a range of styles and relevant experience.
