At Virtue Vets, we're reimagining what a visit to the vet should feel like.
We're building a different kind of veterinary group across London, where exceptional clinical care is matched by genuine hospitality, beautiful spaces and a better experience for pets and the people who love them.
We're growing quickly, with ambitious plans to open 50 clinics across the UK and expand internationally.
This is an opportunity to join us at an exciting stage and help build one of the most distinctive brands in modern veterinary care.
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional, commercially driven Marketing Director to lead the next stage of growth for Virtue Vets.
You must understand behavioural marketing and consumer behaviour.
You must be highly analytical and statistical in your approach.
A fundamental measure of success will be revenue growth.
Your KPIs will be clients acquired per month, increase in revenue per client and client retention rates.
In addition, KPIs include ROI, ROAS, PPC and CPA.
You must be a results-oriented person.
Results are measured in terms of your KPIs.
This is a role for someone who treats brand, social and every other channel as a revenue lever, not a soft, campaign-for-campaign's-sake role.
This role is not suitable for candidates who are not used to results driven marketing.
You will own our marketing and client acquisition strategy, building a powerful engine that attracts new clients, converts demand into bookings, increases engagement with existing clients and drives sustainable revenue growth across our clinics.
You'll pull every lever in the marketing mix, including performance marketing, CRM/lifecycle, brand, social, OOH, events, influencer and collaborations, and you'll be as comfortable setting the strategy as you are rolling up your sleeves to execute it.
You will also lead our team of Client Acquisition Managers, giving you ownership of the journey from initial awareness and enquiry through to conversion and booking.
We are particularly interested in people who have worked within premium, multi-site consumer brands across fitness, wellness, beauty, hospitality, healthcare, membership, retail or lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth & Client Acquisition
- Own the marketing contribution to client and revenue growth across Virtue Vets.

- Ensure marketing activity and client enquiries translate into measurable bookings and revenue.
- Identify opportunities to increase uptake of our services and subscription plans.
- Use clinic capacity, client and revenue data to target marketing activity where it can deliver the greatest commercial return.
- Build a scalable acquisition model that supports both existing clinics and rapid new-site growth.
- Own the end-to-end customer journey across digital and physical channels.
- Connect website, search, paid media, CRM, social, email, telephone, Client Acquisition and the in-clinic experience into one seamless journey.
- Identify where prospective clients are lost and continually improve enquiry-to-booking conversion.
- Build CRM, lifecycle and reactivation strategies that increase engagement, retention and revenue from existing clients.
- Ensure clients experience a consistent, premium Virtue Vets brand at every touchpoint.
- Performance Marketing
- Lead digital acquisition across paid, organic, SEO and other performance channels.
- Use OOH, events, influencer and collaboration activity alongside performance and CRM channels to build a full-funnel acquisition and brand engine.
- Own and improve PPC and CPA metrics
- Own marketing performance, budgets and ROI, ensuring investment is focused on results.
- Develop strong local marketing strategies for individual clinics and launch plans for new locations.
- Protect and develop the Virtue Vets brand as we scale.
- Use customer and commercial data to identify new audiences, opportunities and areas for growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing, commercially focused marketing function.
- Significant senior marketing experience within a premium, consumer-facing, multi-site business.
- A proven track record of delivering measurable customer and revenue growth.
- Exceptional omnichannel experience, successfully connecting digital acquisition with physical locations and customer experience.
- Working experience across performance marketing, CRM/lifecycle, brand, OOH, social, events, influencer and collaborations.
- Strong experience across customer acquisition, conversion, CRM, retention and lifecycle marketing.
- Experience leading teams responsible for marketing, customer/client acquisition or conversion.
- Strong commercial understanding of CAC, conversion, LTV and ROI.
- Experience launching and growing new physical locations.
- Comfortable using data to make commercial decisions and demonstrate marketing's impact on revenue.
- Experience within a startup, scale-up or rapidly growing business.
- Able to think strategically while remaining hands-on and comfortable moving quickly.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- London-based and willing to work from our clinics/office 5 days per week.
- Experience within premium fitness, wellness, beauty, hospitality, healthcare, membership, retail or lifestyle.
- Experience within a subscription or recurring-revenue business.
- Experience scaling a multi-site consumer brand.
- Experience developing sophisticated CRM, loyalty and retention programs.
- What Success Looks Like
Success is simple: more clients choosing Virtue Vets and stronger revenue growth.
You'll be expected to understand where our clients are coming from, what it costs to acquire them, how effectively we convert them and how we build long-term, valuable client relationships.
You'll create a repeatable marketing and acquisition model that helps us launch new clinics successfully, grow existing clinics and continually increase revenue across the business.
Before You Apply
Please make sure
- You have unrestricted right to work in the UK. We cannot offer visa sponsorship for this role.
- You have strong, demonstrable omnichannel and commercial marketing experience.
