About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Head of Clinic Standards & Housekeeping to lead our housekeeping efforts across London.
This role is about much more than cleaning—it's about creating consistently exceptional clinical environments that reflect the high standards of care we deliver every day.
You'll lead our housekeeping efforts and inhouse cleaners, develop operational standards, coach and support colleagues, and ensure every clinic consistently delivers an outstanding experience for pets, clients and our teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes genuine pride in creating immaculate environments and has experience working in healthcare, veterinary or other highly regulated settings where cleanliness and attention to detail are non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Our Housekeeping Teams
- Recruit, lead, coach and develop housekeeping colleagues across all clinics.
- Build a culture of pride, accountability and exceptional standards.
- Support managers with performance, training and development.
- Maintain Exceptional Standards
- Ensure every clinic is presented to the highest possible standard, every day.
- Lead regular quality audits and inspections across all locations.
- Take ownership of presentation, cleanliness and organisation throughout our clinics.
- Drive continuous improvement in housekeeping standards.
- Clinical Environment
- Ensure all housekeeping activities support infection prevention and clinical best practice.
- Work closely with Clinical and Health & Safety teams to maintain safe environments.
- Ensure cleaning schedules, documentation and compliance requirements are consistently met.
- Operational Excellence
- Develop and maintain housekeeping SOPs and working standards.
- Champion our "Make Your Bed" philosophy, ensuring every team member takes pride in their environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and consistency across all sites.
- Support new clinic openings, refurbishments and operational projects.
- Supplier & Stock Management
- Manage cleaning supplies, consumables and equipment across the business.
- Work with suppliers to ensure value for money and consistent quality.
- Monitor budgets and minimise waste.
- Collaboration
- Partner with Clinic Managers, Operations and Property teams to maintain exceptional environments.
- Support the delivery of a premium client experience across every clinic.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Significant leadership experience within housekeeping, facilities or environmental services.
- Experience working in hospitals, private healthcare, veterinary practices, dental clinics or other highly regulated clinical environments.
- Experience managing multi-site teams and maintaining consistent operational standards.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention, hygiene and clinical cleaning standards.
- Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams.
- Experience creating SOPs, quality standards and audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional environments.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Confident using technology to manage audits, schedules and reporting.
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
- London-based and able to travel regularly between our clinics.
Desirable
- Experience in premium hospitality or luxury customer environments.
- Qualification in housekeeping, facilities management or environmental services.
- Experience preparing sites for regulatory inspections.
- Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety requirements.
- Experience supporting new site openings.
