Days Based - Monday to Friday

My client is one of the world's leading manufacturers of packaging solutions to the engineering and manufacturing industries with over 80 years of experience. Due to further expansion within the British market, they have the need to recruit a mechanical design engineer from their Bristol office.

Key Attributes:
  • Apprentice Trained or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • AutoCAD Inventor
  • Machinery Design Experience
The Role:

Reporting to the Mechanical Design Lead, you will be responsible for designing innovative and cost-effective solutions for end-of-line packaging automation solutions. The role will be a mix of concept and redesign of existing products.

Key Duties:
  • Design packaging solutions, experience of AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault primarily or SolidWorks.
  • The role will be primarily office-based, but there will be some travel required for site surveys and workshop commissioning.
  • Interpretation of GA drawings, Factory and Machine Layouts.
  • Bespoke Special Purpose Machinery Design Experience: Moving Parts, Robots, Servo Motors, Chains, Pneumatics & Linear Actuators and Conveyor.
  • Assembly drawing and BOMs.
