We are looking for a Workday Test Manager to take ownership of test management across our HR transformation projects. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Workday test strategies while working closely with functional stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and business leaders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring high-quality solutions for our VirtualResource clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document comprehensive Workday test plans
  • Plan, design, and develop new and innovative test strategies to meet project needs
  • Implement best practice processes, and drive continuous improvement for repeatable successful test delivery
  • Manage stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management
  • Lead and connect all parties involved in the test activities including business managers, programme managers and project team/s, to ensure the creation of integrated solutions and plans meet organisational guidelines and priorities
  • Manage multiple test cycles simultaneously, keeping them on track
  • Ensure all test activities comply with the standards and procedures of VirtualResource and VirtualResource clients
  • Other duties as assigned

Only experienced Workday consultants to apply please. As a member of the VR team, you will have the flexibility to manage your own day, as long as you meet your set objectives and client demands. Often your team will be a mix of on-site and remote based members who will connect using IM, video calls and an online ticketing system. Good communication skills and time management is essential for this role.

What skills are we looking for?

Our roles are remotely based (even pre-Covid), meaning you will be working from your home office, connecting with your client and team on a daily basis. To be successful in this type of environment, you will need to have the ability to communicate effectively (in English) with cross-functional teams, explain complex concepts in easy, understandable terms, align HR / business knowledge with Workday functionality, and proactively drive process improvements. You will need to be comfortable with video calls and be proactive in keeping communication channels open with your client and team.

Must have Skills Required:

  • Workday Test management experience is a must
  • Strong testing background in Workday HR modules (e.g., HCM, Payroll, Recruiting)
  • Skilled in data migration validation and business process testing
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate across cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in gathering and translating business requirements into test scenarios
  • Understanding of change impacts and ensuring test readiness for go-live

Other Qualifications/Skills that will be beneficial but not mandatory:

  • Degree-level education
  • Experience in Agile and waterfall methodologies

As this is a remote role, you can be based anywhere in South Africa, United Kingdom or EU so long as you are authorised to work without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
