Due to new business in 2026, we have an opportunity for a Mobile HVAC Engineer to join our technical team. You will carry out a wide range of routine M&E planned preventative maintenance tasks as directed, and reactive repairs to a portfolio of commercial, industrial and retail type properties in Glasgow area, with regular travel around the area. To ensure all clients are safe, compliant, operational and maintenance or repairs are successfully completed to the utmost quality, standards and competence.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- AC & Ventilation maintenance & repairs (split AC systems, Chillers, Chilled water pumps, pressurisation systems, humidifiers, de-humidifiers, controls equipment, AHU systems and extract fans).
- Self-delivery of small to medium Air Conditioning & Refrigeration installations.
- Supply good quality quotes on all Air Conditioning and similar mechanical systems to Line Manager and office personnel for submission to clients.
- Completion of all compliance paperwork associated with all Air Conditioning tasks and complete within an appropriate timescale.
- If/when required support with monthly maintenance tasks & inspections.
- If/when required support the mobile team with reactive callouts (in normal and out with working hours).
- Assisting other engineers on planned maintenance, reactive and installation tasks.
- Good communication with Helpdesk and providing good detail within job system.
- Good communication within internal & external teams.
- Good understanding and attitude towards Health & Safety.
- Any other duties reasonably requested or required for the role.
Personal Skills, Qualities & Attributes:
- FGAS 2079 Cat 1
- Level 2 A/C & Refrigeration
- Level 3 A/C or Level 3 Refrigeration
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mobile Air Conditioning/Chiller maintenance engineering role.
- Strong understanding of Mechanical Systems throughout commercial buildings is required.
- Manufacture training would be advantageous.
- Working at height training (ladders/step ladders)
- IPAF & PASMA Training
- Legionella Level 2 Training
- Asbestos Awareness Training
- Clean Driving License
- Familiar with CAFM system.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and a Team Player.
