As a Project Officer at Virtual Routes, you will support the delivery of high-impact initiatives on cybersecurity and emerging technologies in global affairs. You will help keep projects on track, support stakeholder engagement, and contribute to the smooth running of internal systems and processes. This is an important support role in a dynamic team where reliability, organization, and clear communication are highly valued.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience
  • Location: London, based at the new Virtual Routes office, with flexibility for hybrid working arrangements
  • Contract Type: 1-year fixed-term contract, with potential for extension or transition to a permanent role
  • Working Hours: Full-time (80–100% FTE)

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the delivery of projects at the intersection of technology, policy, and security
  • Support relationships with stakeholders across government, industry, academia, and civil society
  • Assist with internal processes, including project planning, reporting, and budget tracking
  • Support senior staff in the preparation and implementation of initiatives and events
  • Maintain clear documentation and administrative records related to projects

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Experience in project coordination, administration, or stakeholder support. Experience in international, policy, or research environments is an advantage.
  • Education: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degrees are welcome but not required.
  • Attributes: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize across multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Domain Knowledge: Interest in cybersecurity, technology, or international affairs is required; prior domain knowledge is beneficial, but not necessary.
