Location: Bristol, Cornwall, South Gloucestershire and Devon.

Salary: ÂŁ17 per hour

Work Pattern: Zero Hours flexible work opportunity with a variety of shifts available including days, nights and sleep‑ins.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide care in line with best practice, legislative requirements, policies and agreed standards.
  • Deliver person‑centred care tailored to each individual’s needs.
  • Support senior carers, nurses and registered managers with care plan updates, raising issues where necessary.
  • Maintain and update skills through ongoing training.
  • Travel to various care homes, hospitals and home‑care locations as required.
  • Support individuals in building and maintaining relationships within their communities.
  • Follow care plans and complete relevant documentation.
  • Use electronic care notes (full training provided).
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of service users.
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues and the wider team.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organisation at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
  • At least one year of experience in a care role.
  • Experience in high‑pressure environments.
  • Experience using apps for electronic care note‑taking.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Knowledge of learning disabilities and mental health.
  • Empathy and skills in promoting independence.
  • Strong time‑management, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Experience supporting individuals who may display challenging behaviour.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare and social care sectors, relevant legislation, commissioning and local authority processes.
