Our client is proud of their Ofsted ‘Good’ rating across all areas and is now seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to maintain this strong foundation while guiding their 3 bed home towards ‘Outstanding’. This is more than a management position. It is an opportunity to shape a safe, nurturing environment that genuinely changes the trajectory of children’s lives.

The Mission

As Registered Manager, you will play a central role in creating a home where children feel supported, understood, and empowered to thrive. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Championing the Team – Inspiring, leading, and supporting a residential team to deliver truly child-centred care that goes beyond minimum standards.
  • Clinical and Creative Oversight – Developing and reviewing individualised care plans that recognise each child’s unique needs, strengths, and experiences.
  • Operational Excellence – Managing budgets, staffing rotas, and resources effectively to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
  • Quality and Compliance – Maintaining a strong focus on safeguarding, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, ensuring the home consistently meets and exceeds expectations.
  • Partnership Building – Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and external agencies to create a strong, supportive network around each child.

About You

You are a resilient and compassionate leader who understands the balance required within EBD residential care, bringing both professionalism and genuine empathy. You will have:

  • Proven Leadership Experience – A strong background in managing or supervising within a residential children’s home.
  • Regulatory Knowledge – A thorough understanding of Ofsted standards, Children’s Homes Regulations (2015), and safeguarding practices.
  • Strategic and People-Focused Approach – The ability to lead teams effectively, manage resources, and implement high-quality, tailored care.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
