Pab Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced DV Cleared DevOps Engineer to join a collaborative Agile team delivering secure cloud and platform solutions for UK Government and Defence programmes. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging, mission‑critical projects where you'll help build, automate and support secure platforms, CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with multidisciplinary Agile teams to develop, test, deploy, release, operate and monitor secure software products.
- Design, build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Design and operate shared platform services for deployment, operations and monitoring.
- Design and manage platform services for containerised applications.
- Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Deploy and support solutions across AWS, Azure and on‑premises environments.
- Support engineering teams as they onboard products to shared platform services.
- Drive automation, reliability and continuous improvement across development and operational environments.
What We're Looking For
- DevOps engineering and modern software delivery practices.
- AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
- Kubernetes and Docker.
- CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins or similar tools.
- Linux administration and scripting.
- Containerisation technologies.
- Monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and the Elastic Stack.
- Artifactory, Nexus, Vault, Packer or Serverless technologies (desirable).
- Agile delivery using Scrum and Kanban.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A passion for learning new technologies and continuous improvement.
- A stable employment history with evidence of long‑term commitment in previous DevOps or Platform Engineering roles is essential.
Essential Requirements
- Applicants must hold active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance through Central Government (not MOD), which has been used within the last 12 months.
