We are working with an award-winning consultancy to recruit a driven Marketing Executive to take full ownership of marketing across their group of businesses. They work with a wide variety of business sectors, including many that are leaders in their field. This is a broad, hands-on role spanning the entire marketing mix — digital, events, content and campaigns — with genuine autonomy to shape the strategy and see the direct impact of your work on the business’s growth.

This is a rare opportunity where attitude matters more than a CV that ticks every box. If you are ambitious, proactive and eager to learn, you’ll be given the ownership, support and development to build something you can be proud of — within a friendly, people-focused business that genuinely invests in its team.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Director, you will plan and deliver all marketing activity across the group — from social media and email campaigns through to live events and printed media. You’ll own the marketing plan end to end, testing and measuring each activity so you can clearly demonstrate its return on investment. It’s a role with real variety and freedom, suited to someone who can think strategically and then roll their sleeves up to make it happen — managing content, campaigns and external partners while continually generating fresh ideas to attract new prospects and engage existing clients. You won’t be a small cog in a big machine here; your ideas will be heard and your results will be visible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all digital channels — social media, website and email marketing
  • Planning and delivering offline campaigns, networking and direct mail
  • Promoting events and paid offers to prospects and existing clients
  • Creating online and offline content — video, blogs, imagery and published media
  • Owning, executing and continually evolving the marketing plan
  • Testing, measuring and reporting on ROI across all activity
  • Developing new offers and customer referral strategies
  • Managing external marketing partners
  • Maintaining KPIs and quarterly 90-day plans

About You

This role is open to a wide range of backgrounds — we’re far more interested in drive, creativity and a willingness to learn than in a specific number of years’ experience. You might be an established marketer or someone earlier in your career ready to take on more responsibility. What matters is that you’re proactive, organised and genuinely excited to own marketing and make it your own.

It would be helpful (but not essential) to have some exposure to at least one of these:

  • Digital marketing — social media, web and email
  • Campaign planning and delivery
  • Content creation across different formats
  • Event marketing and promotion
  • Measuring and reporting on marketing activity

Candidates from sectors such as professional services, consultancy, SME or owner-managed businesses, agency environments or B2B services are encouraged to apply — as is anyone with the right attitude looking for their next step.

What's on Offer?

  • 4 or 5-day week, depending on experience
  • Unlimited holiday (performance-linked)
  • Monthly training & development allowance
  • A broad, autonomous role with genuine ownership of marketing
  • Real variety — no two days the same, across the full marketing mix
  • A supportive, ambitious and people-focused team
  • The chance to see the direct impact of your work on business growth
  • Excellent long-term career progression
