We're working with a major organisation delivering a large-scale payments transformation and they're looking for an experienced FIS IST Switch Expert to lead the future architecture of their switching estate. This is a senior architecture role focused on designing, modernising and optimising the FIS IST platform across ATM, POS and digital payment channels. You'll own target-state architecture, drive resilience and performance improvements, and lead migration from legacy switching platforms while ensuring seamless transaction processing and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the FIS IST target architecture
- Design highly available, active-active and disaster recovery solutions
- Lead architecture across routing, authorisation, clearing and settlement flows
- Drive migration from legacy switching platforms to FIS IST
- Develop coexistence, data migration and cutover strategies
- Improve platform performance, scalability and resilience
- Design integrations with core banking, card schemes, fraud and risk platforms
- Support the transition towards API-led and modern integration architectures
