RecQuest is working on behalf of an ambitious law firm looking to expand its Family Law team and seeking a dedicated Family Law Solicitor to join them in Petersfield. They are searching for a motivated individual with 3+ years PQE, experienced in handling family law matters, who can manage and grow an existing caseload.
Responsibilities
- Providing expert legal advice on family law matters, including divorce, separation, financial settlements, and cohabitation agreements.
- Advising on matters related to child arrangements, parental responsibility, and disputes.
- Drafting pre‑nuptial and post‑nuptial agreements tailored to clients' needs.
- Representing clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their best interests are upheld.
- Handling sensitive cases involving domestic abuse and emergency injunctions.
- Advising on alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and collaborative law.
What They Offer
- Competitive salary range: £45,000 – £55,000
- Full‑time, permanent role Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00
- Bonus scheme of up to £20,000 extra
- Firm‑wide bonus with an extra 9% of salary on top.
- Solicitors 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
- Long service awards an extra day when they hit 5 years, 10 years and 15 years
- Christmas closure typically from 5pm on 23rd December until 9am on 2nd January
- Half day for birthday if it falls on a working day
- 1 Wellness Day per year
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (minimum 3 years PQE) with experience in Family Law matters.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to independently manage a busy caseload.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in handling sensitive and emotional client situations.
- A compassionate, client‑focused approach combined with business acumen to help build and grow the firm's client base.
- Previous experience using case management systems.
