Job Summary: Back End Development Engineer – Contract (12 months) London | Onsite - Global Big 4/FAANG. We’re hiring an experienced Back End Engineer to work on large-scale, cloud-native edge and gateway platforms handling high-throughput, security-critical traffic. This is a Senior Back End Engineer role focused on keeping a prominent Global Video platform fast, reliable, and secure at massive scale, requiring strong experience with distributed systems, AWS, and production environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and operate backend services and AWS infrastructure
  • Improve availability, performance, and operational efficiency
  • Take part in on-call and incident response

  • Java and TypeScript
  • AWS (EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, NLB, ElastiCache)
  • Generative AI Fluency
