We are looking for a meticulous Revenue Recognition specialist to ensure accurate and compliant revenue accounting under IFRS 15 / UK GAAP. You will collaborate with Finance, Sales, Commercial, and Billing teams to deliver timely revenue recognition backed by strong controls. With a flexible hybrid working model, blending office collaboration with remote options.
Key Responsibilities
- Review customer contracts to identify the correct revenue recognition approach per IFRS 15
- Prepare and post revenue journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
- Guarantee accurate revenue recognition in the right accounting periods
- Support month-end and year-end closes for revenue processes
- Reconcile revenue accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain revenue recognition schedules and documentation
- Collaborate with Commercial, Sales, and Operations to resolve revenue issues
- Provide revenue analysis and documentation for internal/external audits
- Drive process improvements, controls, and system enhancements for revenue
- Uphold compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Skills & Experience
- Background in revenue recognition, financial accounting, or similar finance roles
- Solid knowledge of IFRS 15 and/or UK GAAP revenue principles
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret contracts and commercial terms
- Proficiency with finance systems and Excel
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
