This is not a design role. It is an end-to-end, customer-focused technical role, translating customer specifications into digital drawings, 3D models, and CNC programs for profiling machinery. You will work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with internal teams, machine operators, and customers to ensure accurate production programming. The role plays a key part in maintaining efficient workflows and achieving optimal machine performance through clear communication, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret, create & produce accurate digital drawings and 3D models based on customer specifications.
  • Program CNC profiling machines, including Laser, Plasma, Gas, Drilling machines.
  • Update and maintain the customer drawing database.
  • Produce accurate costing estimates as required for customer enquiries or product development.
  • Minimise waste and scrap across all programs.
  • Work with operators to achieve overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Perform daily customer liaison to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Liaise with all internal departments as required to maintain workflow efficiency.
  • Complete any ad-hoc duties in line with operational requirements.

  • Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritise.
  • Confident computer skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Positive, flexible attitude and strong willingness to learn new systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD applications, preferably SolidWorks and Artube.
