We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Green IT (ITSM) Designer to design, implement, and optimize IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions with a focus on sustainability and Green IT practices. The ideal candidate will combine deep ServiceNow ITSM expertise with a strong understanding of environmentally sustainable IT strategies, helping reduce the organization’s carbon footprint through efficient IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB, Asset Management).
- Integrate Green IT principles into ITSM workflows to improve energy efficiency and resource utilization.
- Analyze IT infrastructure and recommend solutions to optimize power consumption and reduce environmental impact.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow using Workflows, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Scripts.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and sustainability teams to align ITSM solutions with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals.
- Implement CMDB optimization strategies to track assets, lifecycle, and environmental metrics.
- Design dashboards and reports for carbon footprint tracking, energy usage, and sustainability KPIs.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and organizational governance standards.
- Support integrations with external tools (cloud platforms, monitoring tools, energy tracking systems).
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and administrators.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITSM module design and development.
- Expertise in: ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, CMDB and Asset Management.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework (v3/v4).
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and their sustainability features.
- Familiarity with APIs, REST/SOAP integrations.
- Understanding of Green IT practices (energy efficiency, carbon reduction, sustainable infrastructure).
- Experience in tracking and reporting IT carbon footprint or ESG metrics.
- Knowledge of data center efficiency, virtualization, and cloud optimization strategies.
