The Role
Working closely with partners and fee earners, you will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, helping to ensure the smooth running of the team and enabling fee earners to focus on client work and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Full diary management, including arranging meetings, travel, calls and lunches
- Liaising with internal teams, clients and external contacts
- Regular client communication via telephone, email and correspondence
- Preparing for meetings, including document management and drafting
- Supporting business development activities, including pitches and presentations
- Managing emails, calls and post in fee earner's absence
- Maintaining accurate client records on the CRM system
- Producing Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Assisting with financial reports, expenses and dashboard information
- Arranging team and client events
- Occasional travel between office locations as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar secretarial or administrative role (essential)
- Experience within a professional services or legal environment (highly desirable)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Calm under pressure and able to provide stability within a busy team
- Quick learner with strong IT skills and confidence using new systems
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Knowledge of BigHand and Peppermint would be advantageous but is not essential
- Candidates from a legal background are preferred; however, strong applicants from non-legal backgrounds with relevant transferable skills will be considered
This role is based full-time in Tunbridge Wells. No on-site parking is provided, but there are nearby roads available for daytime parking. The office is within a short walk of Tunbridge Wells station.
