Job Overview

We have an exciting new job opportunity for an Admin Officer to join our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS), an agency of the Ministry of Justice.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time temporary role working via Brook Street for HMCTS for an ongoing 6 months with a view to extending the contract further. The role is located in Feltham, West London. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings.
  • Producing court/tribunal documents.
  • General photocopying and filing.
  • Creating and updating records on the in-house computer system and data input.
  • Post opening and dispatch.
  • Drafting standard letters, correspondence, minutes, notes, reports, submissions, etc., according to guidelines.
  • Clerking family courts, tribunals, and hearings, ensuring papers and materials are available and up to date.
  • Collaborating as a team to problem solve and contribute to small projects, including standard documentation, court orders, claims, fines, fees, and legal aid.
  • Interpreting information accurately to ensure court files are correct.
  • Strictly working in the office; remote work is not permitted.

Skills Required

  • Good Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Effective communication via telephone, email, etc., including with remote teams.
  • Ability to work independently.

Additional Details

Salary: £14.75/hour with pension scheme and holiday benefits.

Hours: 37 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00.

A DBS check is required before starting, and security checks will take approximately 2-3 weeks. All start dates are pending completion of these checks.
