Senior Residential Support Workers – South Wales

Location: Various children\’s homes across South Wales

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum plus sleep-in and overtime

Brook Street Social Care are seeking dedicated Senior Residential Support Workers to join a passionate team across South Wales. If you\’re committed to creating safe, nurturing environments for children who have experienced early life challenges, this role offers opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

The Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will support the Registered Manager, lead by example, and help develop team performance. You will work directly with children and young people, promoting wellbeing, independence and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, external agencies and the local community
  • Support staff development and assist with resource management
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, policies and financial procedures
  • Communicate effectively and securely across the team
  • Contribute to project planning and quality assurance improvements
  • Maintain positive relationships with young people and their families

About You

You are compassionate, dependable and experienced in residential care, with a strong commitment to supporting young people.

Requirements

  • QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People)
  • Minimum of 1 year\’s experience in a care setting
  • Strong communication skills and a caring approach
  • Motivation to empower young people and promote independence
  • Flexibility, resilience and a strong work ethic
  • Aged 22 or over
  • Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
