Fitter (dayshift) – Inverness, UK (Permanent Role)
Our client based in Inverness has an exciting opportunity available to join their busy Team.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and service production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and rectify breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve machinery efficiency.
- Document maintenance activities and report any issues to management.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Working week is Monday to Friday with occasional overtime.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role within a factory/production environment.
- Qualified to HND or City & Guilds standard or qualified by experience.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
