Our client, an independent Family Assessment Centre, is seeking a Residential Family Support Worker to join their dynamic team in Hendon. This role involves providing safety, support, care, and guidance to families undergoing parenting assessments. The position requires detailed monitoring, recording, and working closely with various professionals, including Social Workers, Police, Legal Services, Education, and Health.
Key Responsibilities
- Support parents and children, encouraging them to meet their own and their children's needs.
- Work in partnership with professionals to assist families in reaching the goals outlined in their placement plans.
- Promote key life skills and appropriate behaviours by observing, monitoring, and recording parental interactions.
- Safeguard children at all times and promote positive relationships between parents.
- Facilitate parenting sessions and support families with appointments.
- Help maintain a safe and supportive environment while upholding professional boundaries.
- Complete domestic tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, as needed.
- Attend team meetings, regular supervision, and training as required.
- Contribute to reports and assist in meeting the needs of families.
Requirements
- Resilient, motivated, and adaptable with strong communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate, with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Flexible and willing to work shifts.
- Full UK driving license and business insurance for your vehicle - required.
- Experience: 1 year of Family Support work - required.
- Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- DBS certification - preferred.
