We are recruiting for a Court Usher to support the smooth running of court hearings in Southampton. This is a vital public-facing role where you\βll be the first point of contact for court users, ensuring hearings are well-organised and run efficiently.
The Role
- Welcoming and supporting members of the public, legal representatives, and court users.
- Preparing and clearing courtrooms for hearings.
- Escorting participants and calling people into court in the correct order.
- Handling administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, post handling, and updating records.
- Supporting the judiciary and court staff with documents, forms, and clerical work.
- Providing information to court users and dealing with enquiries in a professional and sensitive manner.
What We\βre Looking For
- Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to stay professional under pressure.
- Comfortable working with people from all backgrounds, including vulnerable individuals.
