Salary: £12.35 per hour

Hours: Full-Time & Part-Time available (Full-Time 37.5 hours per week)

Sleep-in Allowance: £189 per month (based on 3 sleep-ins)

Contract: Permanent

About The Service

This is a small, residential care service supporting up to 6 adults with learning disabilities, autism, sensory impairments, and associated mental health needs. The service provides a calm, supportive, and person-centred environment, where staff are encouraged to build strong, meaningful relationships with the people they support. The focus is on promoting independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion in everyday life.

Role Overview

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to two individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. You will support individuals across all aspects of their daily lives, promote independence, and enable participation in community activities that are meaningful to them. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality support in line with individual care plans
  • Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meals, medication, and routines
  • Promote independence, dignity, choice, and inclusion
  • Support emotional wellbeing and positive mental health
  • Encourage and support participation in social and community activities
  • Communication & Relationships
    • Build positive, trusting relationships with individuals you support
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and external professionals
    • Act in a respectful, calm, and professional manner always
  • Safeguarding & Compliance
    • Safeguard vulnerable adults in line with legislation, policies, and procedures
    • Follow risk assessments, support plans, and behaviour support strategies
    • Maintain accurate, clear, and timely records using electronic systems
    • Report concerns appropriately and promptly
  • Teamwork & Professional Practice
    • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
    • Attend training, supervision, and team meetings
    • Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude to shift work
    • Contribute to a supportive and inclusive team culture

    About You

    Essential Requirements

    Desirable

    • Experience working in health and social care
    • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs
    • Experience using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
    • Full UK driving licence (Previous experience is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.)
