Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and values‑led Registered Manager to lead two supported living services in Birmingham, delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for quality, compliance, performance and financial viability, ensuring services consistently meet CQC standards and deliver positive outcomes for the people supported.

About The Services

You will oversee two established supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. One service supports up to five individuals in a residential setting with 24/7 care and support, focusing on empowerment, independence and meaningful daily living. The second service supports three individuals, providing consistent, personalised support for people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that may challenge. Across both services, dedicated staff teams are available around the clock to promote independence, confidence, choice and person‑centred outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality, personalised care and support
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and Key Lines of Enquiry
  • Lead, motivate and develop staff teams through supervision, appraisal and training
  • Be accountable for service quality, compliance, occupancy and budgets
  • Promote a strong, customer‑centred and outcome‑focused culture
  • Use data and performance tools to manage financial and operational performance
  • Work with senior leaders to adapt and develop service models
  • Lead inspections, audits and regulatory reporting
  • Participate in the out‑of‑hours rota, including evenings and weekends as required

About You

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or above)
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Service Manager
  • Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs
  • Strong knowledge of CQC requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience managing Local Authority (LA) and CHC funded services
  • Budget management and financial performance experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills
  • Confidence using IT systems, including MS Teams
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
  • Enhanced DBS (provided)
