Brook Street Recruitment are currently working on behalf of our Belfast client (Westbank Road Area) who is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to join their team. This is a flexible role offering 21 hours per week, worked either across five mornings or three full days, depending on the successful candidate's availability. The role will support the day-to-day finance function and will report directly to the Senior Accountant based in the Dublin office, working closely with the senior accountant.
Responsibilities
- General bookkeeping and accounts administration
- Processing invoices, expenses, and payments
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Assisting with accounts payable and receivable
- Supporting month-end and basic reporting tasks
- Liaising with the Senior Accountant and responding to finance queries
- Ensuring compliance with internal processes and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team
- Excellent communication skills
