Virti builds immersive training, coaching, and assessment tools powered by AI. Global enterprise customers use our platform to help people perform at their best in high-stakes environments.
We’re looking for a product designer to join our engineering team and take the lead on design efforts across our web and mobile products. Initially, the role is for 6 months with a view to grow it to a permanent position. The focus is on UX, but you will also need the skills to create UI from scratch when required, and assist with marketing and website efforts. You will work in a small, close-knit team and collaborate directly with our engineers to shape features from early concept to polished interface. You’ll also get involved in user research, testing, and journey mapping to guide decisions with real insights. You’ll report directly to the CTO and join a team working with cutting-edge AI-powered technologies, with a high degree of autonomy and real influence over what we make and how we build it. We are especially interested in designers who are hands-on with AI, whether that’s building prototypes with AI coding tools, using AI for research, or just following the space closely.
The role is remote, but we have an office base in Bristol, which gives us great focus on collaboration to deliver results, where we meet up once a week.
What You’ll Do
- Lead end-to-end product design: research, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI
- Collaborate with engineers to explore and implement solutions
- Maintain and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and quality
- Help map user journeys and identify points of friction or opportunity
- Run user interviews and usability testing to validate ideas and improve experiences
- Keep current with UX and interface design trends, especially around AI tools and workflows
- Use the latest AI models and tools to explore concepts, speed up workflows, and rapidly test ideas and assumptions.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of hands-on UX/UI experience with a strong portfolio to match
- Strong UX capability with a solid grasp of interface design fundamentals
- Experience in planning and running user interviews and co-design sessions
- Ability to turn complex problems into intuitive, accessible interfaces
- Deep expertise with Figma and component-based design systems
- Curious and hands-on with AI tools, LLMs, or similar tech
- Self-directed and comfortable with a high level of autonomy
- Interest in product strategy or growing into a product leadership role.
Benefits of working for Virti
- Competitive pay and excellent benefits including pension and healthcare
- Access to free online counselling services via Spill
- 25 holiday days a year (plus one more if you wish to take one after your Birthday) and flexible working hours
- Remote work bursary, home office setup and remote work friendly
- Virti merch (hoodies, t-shirts, diary and more)
- Investment in your growth (coaching and live education), potential for a permanent role
If you are interested in joining our team at Virti, please send your CV along with examples of your portfolio and why you are interested in the role.
