We have a new opportunity for a Technical Compliance Lead to join our team, based in Scotland, working 37.5 hours per week on a 2‑year FTC. As our Technical Compliance Lead, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of environmental systems, procedures and systems of work at the regional level. You'll maintain compliance with Viridor environmental permits, licences and relevant management systems, implement policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality‑led environment with safety at its core, and actively monitor, maintain and manage environmental monitoring and reporting to ensure best practice and avoidance of incidents and permit non‑compliance.
Working closely with the Plant Managers and site teams in your region, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity while ensuring a no‑compromise approach with regards to environmental compliance at all times.
What are we looking for?
- Hands‑on environmental professional with experience in industrial settings.
- Experience of an energy‑from‑waste facility would be advantageous and preferable.
- Relevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance‑focused environment.
- Strong leadership skills to lead and influence a team.
- Able to work with the Management Teams to embed a compliance‑focused culture within complex workplaces.
- Experience of permitted/regulated activities and processes within controlled emissions environments.
- Knowledge of BS14181 Quality Assurance preferable.
- Knowledge of the energy‑from‑waste/power industry inclusive of legislative knowledge.
