We are looking for an experienced QHSE Specialist to join our team in Edinburgh!
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems to enhance business value and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintaining compliance with ISO and other standards as part of Concept’s Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Identifying and minimizing risks related to accidents and incidents.
- Collaborating with the wider team to develop business improvements.
- Ensuring operational managers and personnel have the necessary technical competence to work safely.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in management system implementation and maintenance.
- NEBOSH certificate or diploma in Health and Safety.
- Strong knowledge of management systems, including ISO 45001 and ISO 9001.
- Thorough understanding of HSE legislative requirements.
- Ability to independently lead a function and achieve results through others.
- Effective problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, think clearly, and make sound judgments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload effectively.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and willing to accept responsibility.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a positive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
It Would Be An Advantage To Have
- Lead Auditor certification.
- Membership in IOSH, CQI, or IEMA.
- Experience in software development, offshore/field operations, or an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of ESG initiatives and carbon footprint management & improvement.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.
- Experience selecting and applying quality tools to analyze and solve problems.
- Experience working in a global business environment with diverse cultures.
