We are looking for a skilled Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) Developer to join a public sector project in the Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for building and supporting IA rulebases, digital forms, and integrations that are secure, accessible, and production-ready. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment and has strong experience working across both front-end and back-end IA components.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing IA rulebases and user-friendly form journeys
- Configuring and managing Oracle IA Hub, deployments, and runtime behaviour
- Building custom Web Determinations / Interview controls using vanilla JavaScript
- Ensuring applications meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards (ARIA, keyboard navigation, etc.)
- Developing and optimising SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data models
- Creating and maintaining Java SOAP-based integrations
- Performing testing (functional, regression, accessibility, and performance)
- Supporting deployments via Azure DevOps and managing changes through ServiceNow
- Providing live support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving defects
- Contributing to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
Core Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Oracle Intelligent Advisor (IA) – rule modelling, decision logic, and Hub configuration
- Expertise in custom JavaScript (no frameworks) for IA controls
- Solid understanding of SQL Server (schema design, performance tuning)
- Experience with Java SOAP integrations
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow processes
Accessibility & Standards
- Hands-on experience implementing WCAG 2.2 AA standards
- Knowledge of GDS design principles and user-centric design
