Big programmes need someone who spots what others miss. Someone who keeps the wheels turning. Someone who quietly makes things happen. We’re looking for a proactive Project Support Officer to support major programmes across our change portfolio. You’ll be the right‑hand support to a Project or Programme Manager, owning the organisation, governance and controls that keep delivery on track. You might not own senior stakeholders yet, but you’ll be in the room, learning fast, contributing ideas and helping shape how we do things. This is a brilliant stepping stone for someone who wants to grow into a Project Manager role and is ready to roll up their sleeves.
Support large programmes or projects with hands‑on coordination and control:
- Own the detail across RAID logs, action trackers, milestone plans and decision registers
- Prepare clear status updates and reporting packs for review before they head to senior forums
- Coordinate meetings, steering groups and workshops, ensuring actions turn into progress
- Track budgets and resource plans alongside the delivery lead
- Act as a central connector across the project team, keeping information flowing
- Bring ideas to improve how we run projects as we continue to build and evolve our ways of working
What you’ll need:
- Experience supporting projects or programmes in a fast‑paced environment
- Outstanding organisation skills and real pride in getting the detail right
- Confidence working with governance, reporting and controls
- A collaborative mindset and the confidence to speak up with ideas
- Comfort with some ambiguity and helping define structure where it does not yet exist
- Experience in a startup or scale‑up environment would be a plus
