  • Partner closely with leaders across Virgin to help their teams thrive. You’ll build trusted relationships across the business, acting as a strategic sounding board and helping teams grow stronger, more connected and more impactful.
  • Coach and support managers to build bold, human, high-trust teams. Whether it’s 1:1 coaching or supporting on team dynamics, you’ll help our managers lead with confidence, empathy and a little bit of Virgin flair.
  • Lead and shape key people experiences, from onboarding to growth. You’ll own the moments that matter — making them not just seamless, but meaningful. From a standout first day to purposeful development conversations, you’ll make every moment count.
  • Collaborate with the People and Comms team to bring ideas to life. Working hand-in-hand with a passionate crew, you’ll help design and deliver initiatives that energise our people and build a connected culture.
  • Use data and insight to inform decisions and drive better outcomes. You’ll bring a curious, evidence-led mindset — using insight to shape people strategies and spark real, human change.
  • Be a go-to for people advice, bringing empathy, creativity and action. Colleagues will turn to you for trusted support on all things people — and you’ll respond with clarity, care and practical solutions that make a difference.
  • Champion our culture and bring our values and traits into everyday moments. From hallway chats to high-stakes projects, you’ll embody and amplify what makes Virgin special — helping others do the same.

What you’ll need

  • We’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in — whether that’s navigating complex employee relations or jumping in to support day-to-day operations, you’ll be hands-on and proactive in making things happen.
  • Is a skilled HR generalist with experience coaching and supporting managers
  • Loves solving people puzzles and creating great places to work
  • Is comfortable in ambiguity and brings calm to complexity
  • Has strong emotional intelligence and fearless feedback energy
  • Is curious, creative and never settles for “this is how it’s always been”
  • Thrives in flat, fast-paced teams — think startups or standalone HR gigs

The extra details

Role type: Permanent
Location: London hub (2 to 3 days per week depending on what’s occurring) & your home space
Salary: £55,000-67,500 plus bonus – We\’re putting our salaries out there for everyone to see – no smoke and mirrors, just honest numbers. We\’ll offer a salary that matches your skills, always aiming for room to grow.
