This is a hands-on role shaping how Virgin turns ambition into delivery reality. Sitting alongside Planning, you'll define the principles, processes and ways of working that ensure our delivery capability is deployed in the right way, at the right time, across the enterprise. You'll bring clarity, realism and confidence to our plans — helping leaders understand risk, trade-offs and implications, and enabling better decisions across the portfolio.

Our Virgin Family: Join the Virgin Group – a diverse collective driving change, enhancing customer experience, and having a blast. We're daring, disrupting industries from finance to space, united as part of the Virgin Family. Virgin Red rewards customers who live the Virgin lifestyle. Earn Virgin Points across our vast partner network, unlocking everyday rewards and exclusive experiences. As the Virgin network hub, we foster deeper customer understanding, opening doors for partners. Bold, distinctive, customer-centric – that's Virgin Red. We're a huge brand, but not a huge team, which means we take a hands-on approach while thinking strategically. Everyone rolls up their sleeves to get things done, making it an exciting and collaborative place to work.

Tell me more: Partner closely with the Planning Manager to translate enterprise plans into clear, realistic delivery approaches, shaping how work is delivered rather than what is delivered. Define and embed the principles, processes and guardrails that govern delivery across portfolios, ensuring consistency while allowing flexibility where it adds value. Ensure delivery capability is deployed effectively across the enterprise, evolving roles, skills and ways of working in line with changing portfolio demand. Bring delivery realism into planning by proactively identifying capacity constraints, delivery risks and feasibility issues early, before plans are committed. Surface where trade-offs are required across priorities, sequencing or investment, clearly articulating the implications and consequences of different choices. Take an enterprise-wide view, connecting strategic plans, delivery capacity and organisational risk to inform better decision-making. Act as a trusted voice on delivery confidence, helping senior leaders understand what it will truly take to deliver — and where ambition needs to be rebalanced with reality.

What you'll need: Experience operating at enterprise or portfolio level, shaping delivery capability rather than managing individual projects. Strong judgement and credibility, with the confidence to challenge plans and assumptions constructively. A practical, hands-on mindset — able to design approaches and make them work day to day. Experience working alongside planning, finance and delivery leaders to inform decision-making. A clear understanding of delivery risk, dependencies and trade-offs in complex environments. The ability to explain implications simply and influence at senior levels.
