Our Treasury Operations Team is responsible for settling and executing trades completed by the Treasury Markets and Funding teams, as well as Financial Risk Solutions. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Treasury Operations you will work in collaboration with the team to ensure the execution of all actions in an efficient and timely manner throughout the trade cycle to the final settlement of Treasury transactions. In this exciting role, you’ll have the chance to learn loads as the team is rotated through the various products and functions, to ensure that all team members can become fully rounded operations professionals. This is a multi-faceted and challenging role where you will be involved and be accountable for aspects of the Treasury transactions life cycle, inclusive of escalations and process improvement activity - therefore flexibility and tenacity are critical to success.
What you’ll be doing:
- Accurately processing (within the Bank’s control framework) the transaction lifecycle of deals executed with the market and customers by Treasury and Financial Solutions front office staff including:
- Confirmation Generation and Matching
- Cash and Securities Settlements
- Deal Processing
- Collateral and Margin Management
- Broker Statement, Cash and Stock Reconciliations
- Customer reporting and Transaction regulatory reporting
We need you to have:
- Experience in back-office operations across various asset classes - particularly Derivatives – Variations of Interest rate swaps and FX options, Fixed income, FX and money markets for a UK bank or investment bank.
- Strong quantitative skills
- Good knowledge of the operations environment inclusive of effective controls.
- Collateral Management experience
- Ability to execute ad-hoc requests
- Effective personal organisation and time management capabilities.
It’s a bonus but not essential:
- Good IT skills, inclusive of Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Swift Messaging
- Markitwire experience
- Exposure to EMIR/MiFID reporting
- System exposure – Calypso
