Our Team supports and manages change across a number of critical platforms working with key suppliers to keep the bank running and safe. There is an opportunity to be part of that team, linking our business colleagues, technology teams, partners and application vendors to deliver services and value to our customers.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Specialist who cares deeply about not just what we do, but also why and how we do it – end to end for our Debit/Current account. We’re looking for innovative people capable of working closely with multiple internal teams, stakeholders and third party suppliers, with a good knowledge of delivery in Core Banking and Cards technologies.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing industry expertise of Debit card and ATM processing across the Debit/current account landscape.
- Being responsible for technical changes across the Debit Card and ATM landscape/applications from an end to end perspective across the full project lifecycle.
- Working closely with business and Technology colleagues to ensure that design options are effectively evaluated and robust recommendations made.
- Liaison with other technical teams regarding changes required to systems for the projects and releases, leading on solution approach as required across the Debit/current account landscape.
- Being the point of contact for other technical teams with VM on the end to end processes for Debit Card and ATM landscape/applications.
- Creating & maintaining required level of solution/system documentation.
- Learning and understanding the Debit technical landscape in order to ensure successful delivery of change programmes.
We need you to have:
- Industry and Scheme knowledge of Cards and ATMs from both a technical and business operational perspective.
- Experience and Knowledge of Debit card processing.
- Domain specialism in Debit cards and ideally ATM also.
- Ability to discuss design/project issues with IT and business domain experts.
- Experience of working with and managing outsourced suppliers/strategic partners.
- Familiarity with technical incident management processes and resolution.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential:
- Wider Payments/Core banking experience, able to develop skills, knowledge and competency across the team.
- Experience in working with 3rd parties.
- Previous software development experience, agile/waterfall development methodologies.
