Our Team
We’re expanding the newly formed Economic Crime Hub Team in 1st Line Financial Crime and creating a Quality Assurance function. Our vision is to deliver consistent, high-quality assurance against high-risk process across our Financial Crime teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Assessing the financial crime operational universe and implementing a risk-based assurance framework that focuses on the highest risk areas.
- Leading a team to provide assurance on the performance of colleagues, high risk processes and high-risk people to ensure delivery of a regulatory compliant customer journey.
- Maintain a suite of MI and analyse error examples and trends across the Operation, identifying any training, skill, behavioural gaps and make recommendations to management.
- Helping to write quality assurance reports for key governance meetings.
- Challenge working practices and methods through interpretation of quality assurance outcomes as well as providing recommendations that support risk-based monitoring activity and improved customer journeys.
- Facilitate monthly reviews of the findings with Managers to ensure a collaborative approach to feedback and understanding by clearly articulating findings.
- Be responsible for continuously identifying improvements Quality Checking processes, ensuring actions are in place to facilitate the provision of timely and relevant training to all colleagues
- Supporting the Economic Crime leadership team in making tactical and strategic decisions to further enhance customer experience and avoid harm.
We need you to have
- A strong background of Financial Crime Risk in banking or financial services, especially Operations for personal and business banking customers.
- Experience in multiple financial crime processes, for example Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening, Payment Screen, Enhanced Due diligence etc.
- Experience in risk management principles and practises.
- Well-developed decision making and judgement with experience of working in a quality assurance environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, questioning and listening skills.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- Relevant qualification from International Compliance Association (ICA) or equivalent e.g. Diploma in Financial Crime Prevention
- Experience in one of the following areas, 1st Line Control teams, 2LOD Compliance Assurance or Audit.
