Mortgage Adviser

Direct Mortgages is looking for experienced Mortgage Advisors to join a growing, high-performing team in the UK. The role focuses on providing outstanding mortgage advice to existing customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering a seamless customer journey from appointment to application processing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mortgage appointments for existing customers, delivering suitable advice based on their objectives and circumstances.
• Apply regulatory policy and processes accurately to achieve consistently good customer outcomes.
• Build genuine relationships and rapport by empathising with customers\’ needs and experiences.
• Self‑manage your diary, package cases for Underwriters according to Clydesdale policy and process.
• Assess and validate customer documentation to provide an accurate Decision in Principle.
• Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders, simplifying complex scenarios.

Qualifications

• Full CeMap / CF6 qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Competent Mortgage Advisor with an FCA‑regulated firm.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with diverse clients.
• Empathetic, flexible and positive working approach.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Full induction training will be delivered and is expected to be on a full‑time basis.

This is a certified role requiring annual certification as described within the FCA / PCA certification regime.
