The Governance & Reporting team is central to supporting the safe and effective management of our operational business units. The team own our governance framework, manage reporting to Customer Services & Operations Leadership Team, Board and Executive level stakeholders and coordinate meaningful insight to drive effective decision making. This role is pivotal in leading a small team of Specialists in owning our Customer Services & Operations and wider Group reporting, coordinating functional goals / priorities, overseeing cost/budgets, and driving business insight. No two days are the same, as we operate flexibly to support ever-changing business and customer needs.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the coordination, production and oversight of reports, committee papers and briefings for Executive audiences, ensuring content is accurate, well‑presented and action orientated.
- Leading the delivery of meaningful performance insight - Investigating business performance, identifying trends, and reporting key updates to senior stakeholders.
- Tracking cost performance and delivery of benefits relative to budgets.
- Providing guidance, coordination and challenge to support the delivery of core governance and reporting requirements.
- Working with the Leadership Team in managing emerging challenges / requests and delivering priority business requirements.
- Developing and maintaining strong networks across all business areas and key partners, ensuring an effective flow of information between business units and the Leadership Team.
- Leading meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
- Prioritising demands and delivering role requirements in a fast moving and challenging environment.
We need you to have:
- Strong governance and reporting skills, experience in clearly communicating / reporting key information to senior stakeholders, with the ability to develop, implement and maintain a structured approach to reporting, spanning operational performance, change and business insight disciplines.
- Previous experience tracking cost performance and delivery of benefits relative to budgets.
- Great Leadership behaviours, with the ability to get the best from a small specialist team. Lead from the front in driving performance, development and a ‘can do’ approach.
- Excellent ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely as well as the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
- Expert experience in delivering meaningful performance insight, identifying trends and clearly presenting information in formats suitable for senior stakeholders.
- A strong track record in customer focus, and a proven ability to effectively problem solve in a challenging and truly fast‑paced environment.
- An ability to prioritise, often competing, requirements in real time.
- Efficient and organised, with a strong attention to detail, consistency and accuracy.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills – Analysing data and making it mean something. Think infographics, summary tables and visual outputs, rather than pages of numbers.
