Business Unit: Technology Operations & Cyber Security

Salary Range: £24,000 - £36,000 Per Annum

Location: Hybrid - Travel to local hubs Glasgow & Gosforth when required and for quarterly meet ups.

Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time

The Risk and Reporting Analyst will support the Cyber Detect and Respond Operations Team by managing risk, reporting, and governance tasks. This role is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness of our cybersecurity initiatives and maintaining a high standard of service.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Risk and Reporting Support: Assist in generating and enhancing risk oversight and reporting capabilities. Support the review, challenge, testing, and collation of metrics for the department. Prepare reports and management information (MI) for the Security Operations Centre (SOC), CSIRT (Cyber Security Incident Response Team) and Technology Operations Centre. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs). Measure the effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk appetite statements.
  • Governance and Administration: Oversee local team governance tasks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. Act as a point of contact for administrative queries, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders. Support the team in responding swiftly during security breaches or failures.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide risk information, metrics, and coordinate communications and governance activities for the department. Collate information for the head of department for dissemination to senior leaders. Ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of the cybersecurity posture and initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse trends and support continuous improvement actions. Identify and evaluate risks, contributing to ongoing improvements in service delivery.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies. Contribute to the implementation of best practices within the team.

  • ITIL Service Management process awareness (Change, Incident & Problem Management processes).
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry.
