Our Team

It’s an exciting time for us as we develop our Economic Crime team who have a critical role to play, keeping us and our customers safe. They are our first line of defence function and responsible for day-to-day financial crime risk identification, ownership, management and control. The Strategy team are critical in driving the function in the right direction at the right time helping the bank to effectively manage financial crime risk and protect its customers.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Lead and run the evolution of the Strategic Roadmap, ensuring we are ahead of industry and competitors in fighting FC.
  2. Lead the advancement and implementation of the Target Operating Model.
  3. Design, progress and generate clear framework documents and product papers to formalise our controls.
  4. Review and challenge commentary provided by Senior Managers in Operations Service Delivery Management, Risk Operations and Financial Crime Analytics to ensure the quality of papers.
  5. Define and maintain appropriate governance and procedural documentation pertaining to relevant Strategic initiatives to ensure they are suitably updated to reflect progress/change and alignment to other teams.
  6. Ensure an efficient flow of information across the organisation and across EC teams.
  7. Manage internal information requests from stakeholders including the business and the second line of defence.
  8. Coordinate and draft inputs for standing EC and business risk committees and forums with the audience including the Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Senior Managers with responsibilities in economic crime.

We need you to have

  1. Proven experience of working within Economic Crime Strategy and/or Risk function.
  2. Experience of designing and implementing successful TOMs within Financial Crime, including project management of these activities.
  3. Experience in designing Strategic plans, framework documents and strategic product papers.
  4. Significant experience of successfully dealing with business/strategy management within a Financial Crime environment.
  5. Experience of preparing reports and papers to influence senior stakeholders, including the ability to communicate implementation ideas, risks and issues.
  6. Strong leadership skills with a passion for inspiring, coaching and stretching others.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  1. Advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  2. Demonstrated experience of innovation and disruptive change.
