Base pay range
Business Unit: Group Finance
Salary Range: £47,200 – £59,000 per annum DOE + red-hot benefits
Location: UK Hybrid – Occasional Travel to local hub
Our Team
We’ve a fantastic opportunity in our Group Statutory Reporting team. You will play a key role in the delivery of the Group’s external financial reporting obligations, including the Group’s Annual Report & Accounts and Interim Financial Report and subsidiary accounts. The role holder is expected to proactively drive best practice reporting, performing peer analysis and ensuring best in class standards for external reporting. You’ll be working closely with other teams across Finance and the Business through the coordination, production and delivery of the disclosures contained within the Group and subsidiary Annual Report & Accounts. We\’re looking for genuine self-managing professionals here – people who understand what might be possible.
What you’ll be doing
- Full functional ownership – accountable for developing and delivering Group and subsidiary statutory accounts to tight deadlines, with oversight of existing processes and controls
- Technically competent – recognised as being technically experienced by peers and colleagues and building subject matter expertise within the team
- Stakeholder engagement – responsible for building strong partnerships with other teams who utilise our data in their own reporting
- External reporting landscape – proactively researching accounting standards and interpretations, peer reviews and planning for implementation of future reporting changes
- Project management – assist with timetable production and ensuring deadlines are met throughout
- Work at pace – deliver high quality work within appropriate timelines
- Continuous improvement mindset – always be looking for the next opportunity or improvement
We need you to have
- ICAS or equivalent professional accounting qualification with post qualified experience
- Detailed knowledge and experience in producing statutory reporting for a listed financial services organisation and its subsidiaries
- Strong report writing skills to produce narrative which is appropriate for an external audience
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of recent accounting and regulatory developments
- Effective project management and engagement skills, comfortable presenting plans and detailed information in both written and verbal format
- Analytical and inquisitive thinking
- Formulate agile personal and team goals, upholding and demonstrating ALMV values
- An understanding of the value of data quality and practical experience of improving it
- Be in the driving seat and push forward the data quality agenda
