The Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) team within Financial Control supports embedding a strong risk management culture and overseeing the first line of defence in responsibilities. This is a great time to join as we develop risk and control capabilities further.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting teams across Finance to ensure the financial reporting control framework is appropriate, documented, and assessed to standards.
- Developing and delivering a robust testing framework to ensure management focuses on achieving standards, identifying control improvements, monitoring responses, and ensuring actions are taken.
- Planning and performing testing of reporting controls, documenting processes, identifying key controls, and enabling reperformance as needed.
- Ensuring assurance and review activities are captured according to the team’s methodology.
- Delivering assurance coverage to professional standards, demonstrating accountability for quality.
We need you to have
- Experience in external/internal audit or risk management.
- Report writing and analysis skills.
- Proven track record in enhancing control environments and reporting.
- Experience managing stakeholders at all levels, especially senior stakeholders.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
- ICAS or equivalent 3+ years post-qualified experience.
- Experience with financial reporting controls.
- Experience in process mapping and controls testing within audit or control teams.
