Overview

It\’s your job as an Operational Acceptance Analyst to ensure that Fixed network projects delivering network and tools capability deliver what is needed to ensure full supportability across all teams within Network Operations and our managed service partners. You\’ll own project requirements from these teams, ensuring the projects are delivering the required training, OSS, documentation, resource and support models, making sure that the product is supportable by our monitoring partner Ericsson. You\’ll be accountable for fixed network projects having a smooth transition into \”live\” and ensuring a complete handover to the operational teams (CNOC) via engagement with the service transition process. Your involvement will form part of the full life cycle of delivery; this will incorporate contributions to requirements, build, testing, acceptance and launch.

Responsibilities

  • Own project requirements from Network Operations and managed service partners to ensure deliverables meet supportability needs.
  • Ensure projects deliver required training, OSS, documentation, resource and support models.
  • Confirm product is supportable by the monitoring partner Ericsson.
  • Manage a smooth transition into live operation and a complete handover to operational teams (CNOC) via the service transition process.
  • Contribute to the full delivery life cycle, including requirements, build, testing, acceptance and launch.

Qualifications

  • You will be able to provide a customer-centric viewpoint and resist moves to deliver unsupportable solutions that may jeopardise the customer experience.
  • Experience with current tools, workflows, services and processes, including fixed monitoring tools such as Netcool, Remedy, Rizzo and Zinnier.
  • Knowledge of the Fixed network and monitoring tools listed above to understand issues, requirements and solutions during projects.
  • Experience in Virgin Media Fixed network monitoring, delivery, governance.
  • A collaborative mindset that looks for opportunities to deliver improvements to solutions and processes related to Operational acceptance.
  • Ability to identify problems and engage with other areas of the business to see through to a resolution.
  • Team-focused with clear communication; a tenacious problem solver up-to-date with the latest developments in Fixed network equipment, tools and processes to drive solutions.
