We are currently recruiting for a Senior Network Technology Consultant on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to support the ongoing evolution of our network.
Responsibilities
- Support the technology decision‑making processes, craft and evaluate major investment proposals for key network and technology platforms, and provide internal technical strategy consultancy service to shape the future of our network.
- Collaborate closely with finance teams to develop investment cases, ensuring costs and benefits are measurable, robust, and all viable options have been considered, influencing hundreds of millions of capital spend within the UK fixed network.
Qualifications
- Strong, proven technical knowledge of the fixed network.
- Experience pulling together domain roadmaps across different engineering functions.
- Advanced level skills in Excel.
- Experience creating technical briefing packs.
- Track record of innovation and driving service and customer experience improvements across the Access Network.
- Experience developing architectural solutions within a Tier1 carrier‑class network to support network access products.
- Technical expert in PON technology encompassing passive and logical FTTP architecture principles, including L2 Aggregation, XGSPON, OLTs and BNGs, with a focus on virtualisation.
- Experience with and/or good theoretical knowledge of emerging technologies such as SR‑MPLS.
