Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Designing, developing and deploying effective decisioning policies, producing actionable proposals and implementation plans to optimise our business and support customer outcomes.
  • Monitoring the risk:reward profile of the portfolio (with customer lifetime value models), reviewing and proposing changes to acquisition strategies.
  • Segmenting the portfolio by suitable risk‑related variables to identify any emerging trends, concentrations and potential new risks.
  • Producing clear and easy‑to‑understand analytics to drive the key points home and support business direction setting.
  • Analysing retro data to inform lending strategy, identify predictive features, and set our risk appetite.

The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have a passion for problem‑solving and be able to fit into a fast‑moving, innovative, and high‑profile environment. Prior consumer lending experience (1+ years) in a credit risk function is a must. You’ll be comfortable with analytical tasks, be a strong coder to extract data using SQL, and also be an Excel analysis‑whizz. You’ll need experience utilising credit risk scorecards and strategies. Strong analytical skills with experience in evaluating strategies and scorecards. Demonstrated ability to build comprehensive reports to segment and analyse portfolio performance. Experience of extracting, manipulating, and reviewing large amounts of data using SQL. Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing. Creative capability to think about how we improve business processes & customer experience.
