Virgin Media O2 is seeking a Senior Account Director to join the Critical Network Infrastructure (CNI) account team, carrying new business and existing revenue responsibilities for named strategic partners. This role involves maintaining and elevating excellent customer relationships, representing VMO2 Fixed Wholesale and our products and services. You will lead virtual teams, ensuring opportunity and general account success across pre‑sale, delivery, and in‑life stages.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrable experience leading virtual teams to close multi‑million pound (£10M+), large, complex, strategic deals.
- Experience as an experienced sales professional with strong business development mentality and excellent senior partner leadership skills.
- Specific experience in the Wholesale/Network Infrastructure telco market, including knowledge of key players and macro trends, essential particularly with MNOs, broadcast, and Towercos.
- Strong desire to inspire change, a validated sales track record, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in opportunity generation & revenue retention, managing large, strategic, complex customers, generating annual revenues exceeding £10M+.
- Strong commercial acuity, proven financial literacy, and understanding of how different commercial propositions impact P&L and Capex budget.
- Demonstrable technical understanding of Fibre and Optical networks and the key criteria wholesale partners look for when deploying network infrastructure.
- Experience liaising at senior/board level (C‑level).
- Proven and outstanding sales and account management experience.
- Business development mentality.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Relationship building with internal and external partners, including leading virtual teams.
