We have a new opportunity for a Business Tier 3 CPE Engineer to join our team based in either Slough, Peterborough or Reading. The Tier 3 CPE Engineer is responsible for supporting customer WAN, LAN, and wireless LAN networks. This includes responsibility and accountability to deliver tangible results based on network performance and uptime as well as a great end-to-end customer experience. A Tier 3 CPE Engineer will also be responsible for significant design work for complex customer solutions and core network solutions.
The role holder must be to a Cisco CCNP level of qualification or hold similar level of commercial experience, and experience working within an ICT managed services organisation. The focus is on a deep and extensive understanding, knowledge and experience on Cisco routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers/access points and different WAN technologies. All managed services are delivered against ITIL alignment, ISO 9001, 20000 and 270001 best practices, and often need to conform to industry governance such as N3, PCI, FSA, and IL2/3 compliance.
The must haves
- Experience with Ethernet, Broadband & Cellular WAN networks through carriers such as BT and Virgin Media.
- Experience with Cisco ISR & ASR series routers: Including knowledge on IOS/IOS-XE & IOS-XR command line.
- Experience using Cisco Catalyst switches.
- Experience with VPN services including, IPSEC, SSL, L2TP (including v3) and GRE.
- Experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers & Cisco Access Points.
The other stuff we are looking for
- Experience with the Cisco ASA & Fortinet firewalls ranges.
- Experience with Cisco ISE Infrastructure.
- Experience with Cisco Meraki.
