As a CPE Test Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in making sure our voice services work exactly as our customers expect them to, every time they pick up the phone. Sitting within our Technology Products Connectivity team, this role is all about protecting quality. You’ll be at the heart of how we test, validate and improve voice services across our consumer and business CPE estate, helping to ensure new hardware and firmware releases are robust, reliable and ready for real-world use.

In this role, you’ll lead CPE voice testing throughout engineering build, pre-trial and trial phases, working closely with engineering, trials and operations teams to identify issues early and drive them through to resolution. You’ll combine hands-on technical investigation with a strong understanding of automation, using modern tools and practices to ensure test quality and reliability. You’ll also support in-life issue investigations, with a problem-solving mindset, combined with a strong collaborative approach to help bring clarity to complex problems and helping to safeguard the experience of millions of customers.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of SIP, RTP and VOIP call flows
  • Good understanding of IPv6
