This is a senior leadership role with real breadth and influence, shaping how Virgin Media O2 manages credit risk for its existing customers. You will own the strategy and performance of a significant customer credit portfolio, balancing sustainable growth with fair, responsible customer outcomes while protecting the long-term financial health of the business.
You will lead end-to-end credit risk oversight across products, brands and channels, using data, insight and strong commercial judgement to guide decision‐making. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Product, Finance and Operations, you will translate portfolio performance into clear financial outcomes, strengthen governance with third‐party partners and build a high‐performing analytical team that drives continuous improvement.
Must Haves
- Significant experience in credit risk, consumer credit or financial risk management
- Proven leadership experience managing analytical or risk teams
- Strong understanding of credit lifecycle management, affordability and portfolio monitoring
- Experience linking portfolio performance and bad debt outcomes to financial impact
- Expertise working within regulated consumer credit environments
Nice to Haves
- Experience in telecoms or financial services
- Background in developing or enhancing credit risk models and decisioning frameworks
